Spring is here

Spring has sprung taking a walk with friends on the trails at The Grove.

I have travelled all over the country and lived in many different biomes such as the desserts of Arizona, the rainforests of Oregon and Washington State, and the 11 different climate zones of the big island of Hawaii. I was born and raised in Connecticut and am so very blessed to be raising my children here. We experience the seasons in all their glory living in New England, the elements are not to be feared. We wear more rain gear in the spring, in the summer we dip in the LI sound and many lakes and rivers that CT has to offer, in the fall we make sure we wear layers, and in the winter we dress from head to foot in wool and down. As a child I remember as the snow started to melt in the springtime the woods behind my house would have the most wonderful smell. I enjoy these first weeks of spring where sunk cabbage pops up along streams and marshes feeling the joy of finding a white snowdrop, crocuses and other living signs of spring. These first signs of spring remind us that warm weather and barefoot toes are right around the corner. I truly believe we are blessed to have such a visual rhythm of the year. Happy Spring!!!
